Manage an Experiment

Find your way around a Statsig experiment's detail page and use the actions menu to clone, rename, share, save as a template, export, archive, or delete an experiment.

Every experiment in the Statsig console has a detail page that organizes its configuration and analysis into tabs, and a three-dot actions menu for operations on the experiment itself. Use this page to find where a setting lives or which menu entry performs an action. To create an experiment, go to Create an Experiment.

Experiment detail page tabs

When you open an experiment, its detail page organizes configuration and analysis into the following tabs:

Setup: Configure the experiment's scorecard, allocation and targeting, and groups and parameters.
Diagnostics: View a live log stream of checks and events from your application to confirm your integration works as expected. Go to Monitor an Experiment for more details.
Results: Read exposures and scorecard metric lifts. Go to How to Read Experiment Results for more details.
Explore: Build custom queries to break down results by user or event dimensions.
Summary: Review a high-level summary of the experiment.

The three-dot (...) menu on your experiment's Overview page contains the following actions. Some of them apply after the experiment starts rather than during setup.

Add Decision Framework: Attach a decision framework that defines success criteria and ship-versus-iterate logic for the experiment.
Clone: Copy the experiment. A clone inherits the source experiment's notes text, so review and replace those notes before you use the new experiment.
Rename: Change the experiment's name.
Save as Template: Save the experiment's configuration as a reusable template, which then appears as a Template option when you create a new experiment.
Share Link: Copy a shareable link to the experiment.
Modify Salt: Copy and set the salt used for deterministic hashing. Only Project Administrators can access this option. Refer to Reusing experiment salts.
Export Report: Export a report of the experiment's results. This option appears after the experiment starts.
Archive: Archive the experiment to preserve its history and results and make it read-only.
Delete: Delete the experiment.
