Troubleshoot Smart Gate
Fix common Smart Gate problems, including pull requests that aren't reviewed, opt-ins Smart Gate refuses, wrap PRs that fail, and gates that don't ramp.
Early Access
This feature is in Early Access. During this time, aspects of the functionality may still be developed, and this documentation may not always be up to date. If you have any questions, contact Statsig Support.
Use this page when Smart Gate doesn't review a pull request, can't wrap one, or doesn't ramp a gate. Most problems show up as a Smart Gate comment on the pull request, and the comment says what to do next.
Smart Gate doesn't review a pull request
- Smart Gate is off, or the repository isn't added: an organization admin turns Smart Gate on and adds repositories in its settings. Go to Set up Smart Gate.
- Automatic review is off, or the PR opened before Smart Gate was on: comment
@statsig gate thison the PR. - The PR is a draft, or comes from a fork or a bot: Smart Gate skips these.

Problems in the Smart Gate settings
- Smart Gate settings aren't available here: connect or inherit the Statsig GitHub App in the project. If that doesn't help, contact your Statsig account team.
- The settings are view only: only organization admins can change Smart Gate settings.
- You can't pick a project for a folder: inherit the GitHub connection in that project from Settings > Integrations > Statsig GitHub App.
